Description Of Skill Levels:
Beginner - Literally just that. You're fairly new to your instrument and are just learning the basics as far as holding the guitar, switching your open chords and some basic rhythms.
Beginner/Intermediate - You can switch your open chords without a problem and play a few basic fingerpicking patterns.
Intermediate - All of the above, plus you're able to play Travis/Piedmont style of fingerpicking - alternating bass with syncopated melodies on top. You can also play barre chords and are getting to know the notes on the fingerboard.
Intermediate/Advanced - All of the above, but you're ready for some challenges.
Advanced - All of the above, including knowing the names of the notes how to play chords with their inversions across the fingerboard. You should also have quite a few songs under your belt.
Special Note: Many of the songs in the Intermediate Level start out at that level. I then ADD more ideas and techniques to the songs which players at the Advanced Level will also appreciate.
